• Rosie the dog is gone.  RIP dearie. <33
• Due to budget cuts at work, we will have two Fridays a month off.  These will be referred to as 'Furlough Fridays' since we'll be off and not paid on those days.  I can manage the salary cut plus I score two more days off a month.  Yay.
• Later this year I will be moving to a condo.  I have mixed feelings about this.

What has NOT changed

• I'm recovering from bronchitis.  I hate coughing and sniffling.  I *heart* drugs.
• The two little puppies are now two big puppies.
• I still have a job.  Yay.
• I still love to write.
• I am crabbegirl here, on MySpace, Facebook, and Twitter.

Anything else?

• Rocky the big pup broke his tail this weekend.  Ouch.  I'm glad that's one appendage I don't have to worry about breaking.
• My boss at work wants to initiate 'Social Marketing' as part of our agency activities.  No one else knew what she was talking about.  When she asked if anyone 'twitters' or has a Facebook account, I was the only one in the whole room who raised her hand.  I am a dork.

Guys Night In - chapter two is still at beta. I'm working on chapter three as well as chasing a potential drabble bunny. coeur_racorni and I are also working on various writing projects together, all HP related but some AU. We are considering posting at Fiction Alley and/or posting them on a writing LJ/GJ. We're both also becoming icon and Photoshop hors. *g*

I've just finished reading Eragon by Christopher Paolini. It's got some elements of Harry Potter, Star Wars and King Arthur. I really liked it and am looking forward to the movie 20th Century Fox is making. They've set up the official movie website but they don't have very much on it yet aside from a summary of the story and the list of characters. Heeheeheeheeee! I find this amusing for so many reasons on so many levels.

I hope everyone had a fabby and fun Christmas. While my celebration of the season was much more than all right, I'm still glad it's over. There's way too much fuss and stress for me to completely chill and enjoy it.

So...presents? I got the most delicious buttery Disneyland Mickey Mouse cookies. Unfortunately, there were only two...emphasis on the were. I also got some lovely Polish stoneware dishes, Godiva chocolates, a handmade bead bracelet, a Maxine calendar ("There's nothing wrong with me that a corrective body stocking wouldn't fix." Bahahahaaaaa!) and personalized snowman (<3 lindsical), a couple of shirts, and a lot of yummy things to eat. Plus, coeur_racorni and I swapped songs Christmas Eve night which just rawks my sawks!

I must say that the award for the most...unusual gift this year goes to my friends, Tim and Diane. This lovely couple chose to bestow unto me a little jar of opae...that would be TINY LIVE shrimp.

My landlords have said it is permissible for me to have such pets (har de har har -_- ) in my home (as opposed to the doggies who are outside in the yard). Diane effectively swatted away any objections I might have as to the care (there is none) and feeding (there is also none) of my tiny shrimp since the little critters are basically self-cleaning and self-feeding. I have also been told it is up to me to do a census count of how many critters I have and that I may also name them. O.O Believe me, tis easier said than done.

Last night, I got to eat TURKEY (Boohahaaaaa coeur_racorni! I dedicate all the bites I took to you, dear!), mashed potatoes, wild rice stuffing, and blueberry cake. *burp*

Eh...oralroberts? I love you to pieces, dear, and you're welcome to take as much time as you need to dissect my fic chappie...but any chance on you being done anytime soon? No pressure at all. Just wondering.

I'm now listening to Christmas music. I don't do much else to celebrate the season but I do so love the music. I've got over 200 on Max (teh iPod). Performers I wouldn't dream of listening to occupy space in the Christmas playlist on my Pod. Tis the season, fa la la la laaah la la la laaah!

I've decided to post the first half of Guys Night In chapter two. It's turned into a fun but more complex chapter than I anticipated so rather than struggle and wait until I finally get the whole thing ironed out, I will post half now and gamely keep working on the rest. Go me. Took me long enough to decide that. >.<
